Please educate me on 1972 build sheets

The pictures with the purplish hue are from an October 1971-built 1972. The ones with the blackish type and back are from an April-built 72. Was this a change as the year progressed? Both of these were found in the interior of the car--were the ones on the gas tank similar? Both sheets that I have pictured are carbon-paper weight and backing. The 67-71 tank stickers I have are a heavier regular paper. Can you point me to something definitive to read on this?
    Thanks

Interesting and have never seen one like yours before. If I were to guess, I would say that it has no more to do than to indicate to the teletype operator that the paper was about to run out.

      Mike,
I once owned a 71 coupe that was built on 5-8-71 and it had a rolled up build sheet (tinted in purple) stuffed between the tach and speedo. The information was the same as the tank sticker. I've had friends tell me they found them under the seats too. I don't know anymore about them but think they were pretty common. Rich

        Mike,
The one I recently retrieved from my last day - 1971 LT1 has purple type on it... The purple duplicate ink also Stayed embedded on the glue residue.
