Assuming you're referring to my post and MaxJaxx, I'm in Chicago so don't know the model. But each column is secured with four anchors and the column pad is probably ten inch square, 1/2 to 3/4 thick metal plate pad/flange. When I installed the columns, hole depths varied from 4 3/4 to 4" I used an epoxy to fill the void underneath then redrilled for the anchors.

      Tom,

When you were drilling the anchor holes, did you drill through the concrete?
What part of Chicago are you in? I'd like to see the lift and its operation. I have 9'-2" ceiling height and I'm wondering if I would still need to pocket truss the ceiling. The costs to lift the whole roof, electrical, sidings etc, get to be too costly.
You can contact me off line if you'd prefer via email or IMs.

      Thanks in advance.

I'm in Myrtle Beach but yes I drilled through the concrete. I wanted to avoid the ceiling truss. I can put the lift on the highest lift point, four feet, and both C3 and C5 clear both light fixture and ceiling. I just have to make sure I have lowered the hood. Made that mistake...once!

Someone asked about the base of the MaxJac. I have mine taken down and stored since I have converted the garage to a paint booth. I did measure the base this afternoon. The base is 14 1/2 inches wide with 3 bolt holes along this edge (this is the back side and the 'arm' point away toward the car), the other 2 sides are 13 inches with only 1 bolt in the middle. Base plate is 1/2 inch thick. Hope this is of use. Steve

Yep! And I believe three stops so if working on tires/brakes, you can lower it to the desired height.

                Re: Max jack

I installed a Danmar MX-6 earlier this year, it's the updated version of the MaxJax. It has a much better auto locking mechanism with 7 locking positions. Like any 2-post it's very stable if used correctly. Best of all it runs on a 110v 20amp circuit with no problem so no rewiring needed.
Had to drill 10 7/8" holes 5" deep for mounting, spec is for 4" of 3000 lb concrete but holes for the wej-it anchors ar 5" deep. My builder specs slab @ 3000lb 4" & had no problem.
Lifts both my C3 and C6 with no problem, & entire bottom of car is open. Lifts 46" off the ground so use a roll-around shop chair to prevent banging my head when working under car.
After mounting I would check tightness of mounting bolts every day & after a week or so they remained tight.
Would suggest ordering direct from Danmar other than some other supply house, they had a better deal with free shipping to the house.
I would definitely recommend if space is limited.

                  Richard,
Thank you for the pictures, looks like a very nice garage you have there. What are your ceiling heights and with the 68 on the you can make max height?
I have tracked down the builder on my garage and he told me the concrete is 3500 psi and 4", he said a lift wouldn't be a problem. I asked for a quote for an additional bay with 13-14' ceilings but think that is going to be well beyond my budget.

My garage ceiling is 9' 3", & I can raise car to full height on the lift with 18-20" to spare. The way lift is situated in garage I can open the garage door (7') with soft top down or hard top not installed so I can get some fresh air in.
The hydraulic lines have quick disconnect so when not using I can move motor/pump off to the side out of the way.

I installed a roll-top garage door so I would have the rails in the way with my 8' ceiling.

Do you lose any fluid when you disconnect?

I see that they changed again, and it's now the Dannmar MJ-GCE.

Since you are setup already, could you share the footprint of the columns so I can go out and see where it would fit in my bay.
                          Thank you for your help.

My house was already built when moved in but I did install a Liftmaster door opener that runs on the spring shaft instead of having the motor/chain drive bolted to the ceiling.
Maybe loose a drop of two when disconnecting, not enough to worry about. I always make sure all pressure is off the lines & lift fully down before disconnecting.

                              Gary;
Here's the dimensions from Dannmar website: I placed my columns 118" apart outboard...that's total width of lift. It allows lifting of C3 and C6 with no issues. Since my 3rd garage door is 8' wide & very little room from door to outer wall it makes lift off-center a bit, but workable.
