Fit problem with DeWitt radiator on my 57

My radiator lower hose outlet comes straight out and the DeWitt outlet is nearly a 90 degree outlet upwards and will not fit with my shroud that appears to be the original shroud and radiator in my car. Was there an early and late radiator in 57? My car was built about March 19, 1957.

I called DeWitt and left a message but have not heard back from them yet.

the 55-60 dewitt's radiator bracket does not have the top hole that a 55-57 radiator would have.

I am not sure what you are talking about? You mean the mounting bracket? We have not gotten that far yet but I would think that would be a simple matter of drilling the hole. However that does not address my posted problem.

I have a late 56; and I can tell you that installing the lower radiator hose is a real chore even on an original radiator. It took several tries; and I finally took part of the shroud out in the lower corner to get the hose on. My installation seemed tougher due to the Corbin clamps.
