C2 dash bulbs

How many 1816 dashboard illumination bulbs are required for a 67?
Where can I obtain replacements that are made in the USA?

The dash lights were replaced with a kit from a Corvette supplier. I believe they are imported. They are dim. The headlight switch is original.

I thought there were some brighter lights available with the same mount? 1817?

There are 14 , I believe. 11 in the gauge cluster ,2 for the clock , and 1 for the radio.

I got all my 1816s as well as every other bulb needed off flea bay . I too heard that the old "Made in the USA "bulbs work better then the new ones as well as having the brass bases . So even though I also bought a kit from a corvette parts place I hunted down all the numbers I needed seperately on line .The ones I scored were mostly GE or Westinghouse bulbs . Except I also found that AC Delco makes and sells , or at least did , a box of 10 1816s that are made in Hungary of all places , but still had the brass bases.

There may be other sources for the bulbs from guys here on the forum as well.

Saw an ad in the Driveline that Joe Perri has nos sets available. No price given.
