Interior color question

I have a 69 with Monza Red exterior, and 407 Red vinyl interior. Is the 407 the same Monza red, or is it a different color? I need to paint the steering column etc, and need to get the correct color. Thanks, Mark

Mark, I would say that the interior color applies to the column, most of the venders sell the spray cans to make the job easier. the exterior color is generally exterior only.

What is the interior color if its not 974 Monza? 407 does not come up as a Dupont color, and I'm not going to spray my column with a rattle can!

Mark, I think you maybe able to send a email to Tom Ames he may have the info for you as far a what is code is where you can buy a qt. the paint mixes may differ from the old school lacquer, There is no lead used in the new lacquer paint so it may take a few extra coats coverage.

I have a '70 that's the same Monza Red exterior and 407 red vinyl interior color combination. The steering column is definitely not Monza red. I'd match the paint from part of the steering column paint that was hidden from the sun.
