The Spring 1975 issue of the Restorer (volume 1 #4 page 12) written by Fredrick Thompson and copied in Noland's C1 book page 197 shows 1957 Corvette # 4232 with a F 522 EN suffix stamped block. Written years before restamping became common and now this suffix is considered by the majority as non existent. Has this EN suffix engine (#3748525) ever been verified as original? If not original, does anyone know how the Flint Engine Assembly plant kept records, tags etc. to identify the parts required for it's assembly and then identify how it was different when shipped to St Louis?
