Will go with the 205-75 x 15 tires but have not decided on a brand. As I probably won't drive more than 2500 miles per year, the brand really won't matter to much. I do like the blackwall with small hubcap look but think I will go with the 1" whitewall and full stock hubcap look. Only NCRS folks will be able to tell it is not stock.

I vote for a traditional US brand blackwall, even with the full wheel covers. ...ever seen a Porsche or Ferrari with whitewalls, any vintage? I think you could order whitewalls on a XK-E, but maybe only in the USA and not Europe.

I drive my 57 I purchase 2/17 regularly and immediately removed the 5 x 15 wheels from the rear and replaced them with 6" x 15" wheels for wider radial tires. I kept the original front wheels. In order to keep the tires at a even height with narrower tires on the front for easier steering I put on P215/75R15s front and P225/70R15s on the rear. I wanted WWWs and found Cali Tire that will cut custom size white walls on Cooper tires they sell and that is where I bought them. Since then I have installed 6" x 15" Keystone Klassic wheels with 225/60R15s black walls all around on the car.

I installed P205-75-15 BF Goodrich whitewalls from Coker Tire on 5" steel wheels from Vintiques Wheels. Very happy with the look and drivability. Smooth and safe feeling ride.
