Jerry, thanks for closing the loop on what you have experienced. That is always a good thing to do, and often neglected! Enjoy the 62 FI car. In my eyes, there is nothing better!
Loren said a mouthful about cranking signal valves. Those of you that were at an NCRS regional by the Western NY chapter in early 90s heard what Frank Scibica of RP tell the audience. Frank was my friend but he didn’t mince words to lash out at me.
At the seminar he said this “There sits DeGregory back there still installing cranking signal valves on his restorations when he knows damn well Rochester Products had a 75% failure making them”. Close to his speech.
So I am a humble man but that hurt.
I talked to Ken Reuben (deceased) about reproducing the pesky CSV. And so he did. But they were hit and miss.
Today we have that issue solved. Have rebuilt originals that really work.
Put a siphons breaker shut off solenoid on your 62 unit Jerry. Beats replacing the engine.
John
Thank You John, I did put one on, and started running race fuel. I took Jim Lockwoods advice on a cold start up. So far the 62 is running and starting like a champ.
Thank You for all the great advice
Jerry Musso
