1971 LT1 Temp gauge

I found the green wire. but the part that plugs into the sending unit is missing.




just purchased a 71 LT1 and the temp gauge is at 100 and never moves.
after looking under the hood, I noticed the driver side sending unit has no wire to it.
can anyone help me on what to do to fix my problem.

Well, the first thing you need to do is to restore the wire to the temp sender. This should be a green wire that's part of the engine compartment wiring harness.
