    64 Shock�s color Front vs Rear

    Can anyone verify that early 64 rear shocks were black upto vin 9000? Fronts were black until vin 4000? Original shocks that came with my vin 7700 car has 2 black , 2 grey. I originally thought that was wrong.

              Mike, I just removed the original front and rear shocks from my '64 and my VIN is 195XX. Both are bluish-gray and are not F40's. This would appear to conflict with your comment. Can you be more specific please? Thanks.
