Hi, wondered if anyone knowledgeable about NCRS and ZR-1's would like to make a few dollars checking out two on my short list. I am in Alabama and not close to look myself at this initial point. One is an individual that I believe knows very little about the car - his company gave it to him, the other is at a Corvette dealer. Both are well over going value. I am looking for absolute as unloaded from factory condition with all hang tags, manual contents, lock bags, wipers and oil and air filters at LEAST in a bag. PM if if anyone can inspect for me. If they pass, I would then fly up to inspect and make the deal.

Re: Found 2 95 ZR-1's that fit my criteria ..anyone near Champagne IL, and or Vinelan
Chris, my suggestion is, attempt to locate a 1993 40th Anny. ZR-1. This is the best bang for the buck. Only 245 Ruby's were built out of the 441
ZR's. I sold mine at Barrett-Jackson in 2014. The car went 30K plus. In January of this year one went for between 35-40K. All of the LT-5 motors (405Hp) were built in 1993. Nov. 93 was the last ZR-1 RPO built by Mercury Marine in Oklahoma. The majority of first sale Ruby's were in Ca., Fla., and NY. If you can find the LT-5, ZR-1 registry, located on the Corvette Forum, you may find a ZR-1 40th Anny Ruby. Good luck, they are out of this world to drive, go to driving school before you push the FAST pedal, it will fulfill all of you dreams. The best advise I can give is have someone in the NCRS C-4 judging group look at the car, if the car has very low mileage it may have fuel delivery problems. 40-50K miles would be the safe bet. The only problem I had with mine was in the Bose audio system, I had to have the C/D rebuilt.- Top

Hi Ed! I don't disagree with you and the 93 Anniversary ZR1, but my user ID on all the other forum's is Corvette95, along with my email for 20 years AND the fact I have been stocking NOS 95 parts for many years and have lots of spare white/black interior items that gets scratched up, and my other cars are 95's I am kinda set on a 95 mainly for those reasons.- Top

Chris, sounds like a lock. My only problem was my PV on my ZR. Got to Denver at the regional in 08, sky was clear, weather great. I drove the car from my home near LA., temp was near 85. Got up to over cast and 40-50 temp. The only failure was the rear hatch tubes. They have to go all the way to the top. With 40 degree temp and snow blowing in a horizontal pattern at over 5,000 Ft., they would only go up half way. If you get to the P/V I will let you how I solved the problem. And Rick, I owe you one, payback is a Bi--- then you die, see you in Las Vegas, you will never see it coming.
Love Ed- Top
