    C2 differential Shims

I am upgrading from a open diff to a posi unit and need additional shims to set up the rear. The early C2 uses individual shims not a pack. They were available in increments of .002 from .064 to .094. Does anyone know of a source for these.

    thanks

Check out Randy's Ring and Pinion

The link is for an adjustable shim pack. It is held captive by the two outer (thicker) shims.
I have used them with good success.

The PRODUCTION-type cast iron shins were never available from GM in SERVICE. In SERVICE GM only offered a spacer + shim sets. However, all of these are long-since GM-discontinued. So, something like what has been suggested by Richard is "the only game in town" now.

I think you will find the super side shims too thick to use, unless you have access to a surface grinder. The individual ones are too thin to get into place.

I have a good selection of the stock steel thin shims I gathered over the years( not for sale ) that I use or machine to fit. You might find other model shims are similar and might work but I don't know of a kit sold in these specific sizes.
