Although too long in coming, I am so very happy to see John recognised for his successful efforts to found and build this organisation that I have enjoyed and benefited from for so many years. I hope we continue to see John at events and that he might participate again and from now on.

Without John's energy in the early days NCRS would not have had the spark to grow like it did. He spent HUGE amounts of time on the phone and corresponding with others to bring their knowledge together. Well done, John !!!!!

I'll keep it very simple - without John Amgwert's 25 years at the helm of The Corvette Restorer, there would NOT have been a 2018 Convention.

Having met John for the very first time at the convention I understand how his dedication and love for NCRS lead to his “Lifetime Achivement Award”. I enjoyed listing to John tell the stories of the early days of NCRS. I hope that we get to see more of John in the future.

I also met John for the first time at the National after hearing stories about him and his contribution to the organization for years from Corey Peterson and John Kennedy. What a great human being and it was an honor to talk with him.

I had the pleasure to sit and talk with John for a couple of hours and I can tell you he was deeply moved by this award the reception he received during the convention. Thank you to those who made this happen. Long overdue!
