    1966 gauge cluster label LD

I just removed the gauge cluster from my barn find 1966 convertible and found a red and white LD label on the back. I've seen LA, LB and even LC. I've never seen an LD. Can someone tell me what the LD signifies? Thanks, Tony

Here are a couple of threads, I may have the LD info somewhere but I'll have to do some searching.

Here are a couple of photos of the gauge cluster and label. It is from my April, 1966 L36 car.

        Tony...

I did my cluster last fall and found the same LD label as you have. I have a base '66 300HP 4 spd. Here's the photo of the label that I"m sure matches yours.... I had my speedo/odo repaired by Joe Ray and he said that someone had been in the speedometer before. I've owned the car for 32 years and this is the first time I've had the cluster out. So the repair was made previously and I can't verify that it's an original cluster backplate. However, the stamped date code was so faint and the patina of the backplate was really aged before I cleaned it. that I'm pretty sure it wasn't changed out. I've included a front view of the finished cluster so you can see the configurations.
