65 steering shaft

Just pulled my steering shaft to replace noisy lower bearing. I have two questions, 1 my steering shaft has grooves cut into from a bad bearing. From the info I have read from this forum I'm sure I need a new shaft,does anyone recommend one close to OE that I could buy. And 2 the lower bearing with the felt over the ballbearings,how and what do I lube them with? Thanks

Would you not just get a good used original from one of the many swap meets.

Doug, I looked at this a few months back. Best I could tell there was one supplier to CC, CA, Paragon, LIC. Anyway the Corvette Central price is $84.95. Paragon is $85.00 but 10% off if you are an NCRS member. Good luck.

On occasion NOS ones show up on eBay but I haven't seen one in awhile.
