I am in the process of gathering necessary items for future judging of my 2007 Base car. The cars build date is June 26 2006, very early car #ooo53. I have found numerous cites that have the run flat tires for sale. I am attempting to learn what the various DOT numbers mean, and what should I look for to verify the proper date codes on the tires I will need. One case in point is a set (4), P35ZR18, 87Y, DOT: M652, JB1R, 1612, and P325/30ZR19, 95Y, DOT: M6XE, JB1R, 1612. What ever happened to 670/15. C-6 guys please come to my rescue.

See this link for Federally mandated tire date codes. They haven't been a secret since 1970. The 1612 looks like the 16th week of 2012. Too new for your car.

Ed - would check Corvette Action Center and Corvette Forum C6 forums on both and see if anyone has tires for sale; then post on both you are looking for "original" tires - you would be surprised at what folks "hoard"
Base car delivered from the factory came with P245/45ZR-18 (F) and P285/35ZR-19 (R)
And, as Terry indicated the date is for tires dated 2012
