Engine vibration need help diagnosing
There is an engine vibration when driving my 365hp 64 as the rpm approaches 3500-4000 rpm. It almost sounds and feels like a thrashing machine. I did not run the rpm any higher as not to damage the engine. This is the first time the engine has been up to that rpm since it was rebuilt. About 250 miles on the engine.

Joe,
My test not only included running the rpm up to 5500 at a stop, but also I drove down the road at around 50 mph, pushed the clutch in and coasted while revving the engine up to 5500 rpm without vibration. I did the same test and coasted with the transmission in neutral, with clutch pedal out, revved the engine to 5500 and no vibration. I think that would rule out the drive train as the source of vibration, would it not? Or am I missing something? Thanks for your input Joe.

It's been a very long time...... What I remember is the growling and vibration showing up around 25-ish MPH in 1st gear. And it was terrible. I don't recall what happened in the other gears. I drove the car only once like this; I took it immediately to a friend who could rebuild the T10 (I know zip-point-zero about T10s) and the problem was cured.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
