Have a set of 1968 P01 Bright Metal Wheel Covers with small scratches on outer rim. Is there anybody
out there that restores these?? Thanks in advance--Larry

Larry, if your dealing with curb rash it may be difficult to restore, minor scratches can be removed, There maybe someone in your area that restores stainless ??

Larry, there are 3 separate parts to the PO-1 and PO-2 hubcaps. For a lack of better terminology I will call the 3 parts the base, the middle and the cap. It is the the middle that gives the PO-1 it's distinction from the PO-2. What you can do for your restoration is find a good set of PO-2's on ebay and switch out the bases with your curb rash PO-1 set. If the black paint on the PO-2 bases need refreshing, get some gloss enamel and a good small brush and repaint them. If you need new caps, Paragon sells them. You can do your own restoration and they will look great.

Hi Ron,

If you can find the PO-1's and the fins are in good shape, you can make everything else look good. Also, the PO-1 middle or fins top base for the cap is just about an eighth of an inch larger than the PO-2 cap base. In the wood working field that would be called a reveal and gives it more visual lines. I think it gives the area a little more character.
