Sounds good.
Mickey's is probably the best somewhat local option.

Re: Body repair recommendations
Corvette Repair is one of the best shops around. It only cost $$$$ as Patrick replied if you have to pay twice. Corvette Repair fixed my 1965 when another so called expert shop messed it up really bad. Lets just say if my bill was 18 dollars, plus another 25 dollars for attorney and 5 years in court, and 18 dollars to repair damage caused by original shop, now that's a lot of $$$$. My experience with Corvette repair is that they are fair and If you have not experienced first hand the agony of choosing the wrong shop it is not a pleasant experience. The so called expert in my case has been in and out of business with different entity names, even moved to different states. Corvette Repair has been in business for over 30 years at same location and the doors are always open..that means a lot...- Top

Re: Body repair recommendations
I will add that any quality shop is going to be $$$$ if the repairs are significant. I went to a local shop that does a lot of corvettes but does all types of cars. I' saw their quality first hand and it's top notch. I needed extensive repairs on my 69 after a relatively mild front end collision, plus I was doing a frame off resto so the car was completely done over. I did the frame and mechanical work, they only did the body and paint and the bill is approaching 80k and were not done yet (though almost). I've had three cars done in the last few years, all at different shops, and all done to 5 star quality and the bills for all three were similar. This is what quality shops will charge. You can definitely get it done cheaply but I've learned from experience with body and paint that you get what you pay for.
