What year did A6 compressor come out?

Got a cast coded A6 compressor I believe Nov or Dec in for restoration. I see rings that say "fit A6 and early compressors". Some say 63 to 75, and some say 63 to 80 something.
The 61 built compressor here is A6 all the way. What A/C compressors did GM cars first use?

I know there was an A5 so I would guess about 1959 for the A6.

In addition to manufacturing room air conditioners, Frigidaire also provided the factory air conditioning systems for General Motors automobiles. From the 1950s through the 1970s, these units developed a reputation for providing powerful air conditioning systems on virtually all GM cars & trucks from the largest Cadillacs to the small Chevrolet Vega. G.M. also sold Frigidaire auto air conditioning compressors to British Leyland for Jaguar autos and to Rolls Royce for Rolls Royce and Bentley autos.^[8]
