installing new radio to antenna cable

Got to replace old antenna cable with new one in my '67. Any tips on best/easiest way to rout it through cabin to right side of radio? Is there an illustration in the AIM? If so, where?
    Thanks

In the 63 AIM there is an illustration showing the routing under section U69 AM FM radio, I would guess the 67 AIM is similar.

I looked at AIM and looks like antenna cable runs up behind dash on way to radio in a '67. Correct?
Some on this subject in archives, some just just splice the cable (just the back part of my old cable that's bad). Those who have spliced, do you just twist the small inner wire together , tape and do same with outer shielding wire and tape over whole thing or is it necessary to use crimps?

Splicing is a very bad idea. It is far too easy to replace it to take the chances of poor performance caused by a splice.

Do not forget the small clip that retains the cable to the dash support structure.
I would take pictures of the existing cable run under the dash before taking it apart.

            Richard,
Where's that clip you refer to? Got any photos? Could you just zip tie cable to something rather than fussing with clip?

Sure a zip tie would work.
However the clip is shown in the assembly manual.
              If bone stock is important......
If you don't have the manual, and stock is important to you, let me know.
              I'll get you the picture.

                Russ and Richard,
With help of a Corvette buddy we got the new antenna cable installed. But as for "easy", not the part about running the cable under the dash in a factory air car like mine. You ever done it ?

Air car would make it harder.
