    Seat Back Attachment

How were the seat back attachments (metal brackets with two small screws) fastened to the seat back cover? The smaller end went outboard, AIM 1-J2, #6, but did the lipped edge go toward the top or bottom?
    Thanks

As I recall, correctly or incorrectly, the lipped edge goes toward the top. However, the brackets are side-specific. So, with the narrower end facing the outer edge of the seat, they can only be installed one way. By the way, when I say side-specific, I mean side-specific for each seat. Both seats are identical and can actually be changed driver side to passenger side and vice-versa.

Thanks Joe, nobody can see them anyway. I just was curious.

Yes, no one can see them but you do have to get them oriented correctly. If they are installed "upside-down" I don't think they will secure the seat back to the seat frame properly.

By the way, the judging manual mentions only two types of lower seat bumper. I think there were actually three in 68.

OK, thanks Joe. Sorry about the sideways picture, just another thing about those pesky 68,s.
