    c2 327 oil pan

When removing the oil pan is there anything else involved other than removing the steering 'stabilizer' . The car is a '66, 327 base engine.
    Thanks in advance, Pete

Peter, If you unbolt the idler arm at the frame side ( 2 bolts) and lower that will let you remove the pan. also starter as said above.

There is also a "preferred" location/rotation of the crankshaft that reduces interference. I cannot remember the details, but it should be in the archives.

This will facilitate removal of the pan.
