Re: 1966 Dome light issue
The dome light is held in place by 2 self tapping screws. Remove the cover and you will see the screws. There are two U shape clips that attaches to the fiberglass halo that the screws pass through. That should get you started.- Top

Maybe the light bulb holder is rattling against the case? Could that be?

Re: 1966 Dome light issue
Okay Gary, I removed the light fixture, went for a ride, still have the vibration sound, if I pushed my hand against that rubber blob, the sound diminishes somewhat. If I slide my fingers up in the hole towards the front I can feel some of that rubber touching the headliner. What could be the purpose of that rubber? Is there a stock ceiling connection that the rubber is hiding?Attached Files- Top

Re: 1966 Dome light issue
Harry, probably not what you want to hear, now you need to remove the rear window trim, then remove the halo. Probably what has happen is the bonding adhesive has broke loose where the top bonds to the top of the bird cage. You may could caulk that area or put some expoxy glue in the area. Some others may some ideas. Go for a ride again after removing the items so you can isolate the area, then have a plan of attack.- Top
