Part number for a delco battery ( currently available)

Anyone know the part number for a delco battery ( currently sold by delco) that fits best in the battery tray of a 1963 ? I am not talking a restoration battery , i mean one you can buy at a parts counter,today. I bought one and its too small , i need to return it for a better fitting one and this will save our parts guy time trying to figure it out .

The Delco Battery I use in all the 63-7 cars is 24PG .

Any group 24 battery from Delco (or, anyone else for that matter) will work for you. Just be sure you don't get a 24F...the posts are in a reversed order. Again, a simple group 24 should suffice.

I am also looking to purchase a group 24 AC Delco battery but we do not have Menards in Tulsa. Cant seem to find them except at a dealer?

I had trouble finding a group 24 batt for my 64 as well. None of the usual suspects carried them, not even the local Chevy dealer. Then I stumbled on a parts store called "Fisher Auto Parts", they are affiliated with "Federated Auto Parts". They carry all types of "AC Delco" batteries, including group 24. Suggestion, just attain a BatteryMinder 2012 to maintain the battery. I just saw them on Amazon for $79.99.
