I"m sure this issue has been addressed but I can't find anything in the archives.
I just finished rebuilding my steering column, new upper and lower bearing turn signal switch and canceling cam. Everything works and I'm satisfied with the results except for the upper housing that the turn signal switch is in. When activating the turn signal lever the housing will rotate about 1/8 to 1/4 inch. I don't remember this happening before I rebuilt the column. With the turn signal lever in neutral position I grab ahold of the housing and can rotate it either way that 1/8 to 1/4 inch. Any advice on what may be wrong or is this normal? Thanks in advance.
