    74 454 EGR Bracket Part number 353087

Although curved, my bracket measures 5 1/4 inches in length. Is this the correct bracket for the BB? I have read posts that state the BB should measure 5 1/2 inches in length. Just making sure that this bracket (#353087) is correct for the 454.

    Thank you so much!

    Hi again Vic,
If you are talking about the bracket you recently purchased from eBay, it's not correct for your big block. Since this post obviously is before our recent personal email exchange you now know I found a correct 73-74 BB EGR valve hold down bracket for you. It will be on its way to you very soon. Sorry for the confusion! The BB bracket is more flat/ straight ( as shown in Bob's 74 LS4 photo under your previous post)than curved.

GM #353087 was the one-and-only EGR clamp ever released by GM for Corvette big block applications.

        Hi Joe,
Here are a few side by side photos illustrating the differences between the 73-74 EGR Hold Down Brackets. Small block(353090) is the smaller black one. The BB bracket (353087) is in "as found"condition and needs a good reconditioning. I'll let Vic have all that fun!

        Joe,
Interesting that there aren't any illustrations of these EGR brackets, bolts or French Lock washers in my 73 AIM. I checked with a 74 owner to see if they are listed in the 74 AIM, and they aren't. He added that they weren't in later year AIMs either Are we missing something? ................
So, does that mean these were installed on the intakes before the engines came to the factory? If so, wouldn't they be panted engine color, or at least show some signs of masking? Just wondering!

The paint operation at the engine plant was not the last operation done to the engine assembly, either Big Block or Small Block. These clamps could have been installed after paint. I would say from the evidence you have provided that that was the case,
