Power Windows Quit Working- Ned help troubleshooting

Car is a 75 convertible but I think the system is very similar for all C2 and C3s. A month or so ago I put the car away for the winter in my heated garage. I put the windows down using the switches when I parked it.

Yesterday I tried to raise the windows with the switches but neither one will work. No sounds of them attempting to work. Just dead.

I need help troubleshooting the problem. The car battery is charged. I started the engine to see if the battery was dead. Everything else electrical seems to work just fine. Don't know why the windows just stopped working. Since both windows quit at the same time I don't think there is a problem with the switches or motors.

I know the system has a 30 Amp circuit breaker on the fuse panel and a relay under the console which is a PIA to get to. My first thought was to check the fuse but the circuit breaker replaces the fuse. I don't know how to test the circuit breaker. I have ammeter but don't really know what procedure to follow.

Can anyone walk me through finding the fault. I'm a decent mechanic but not much of an electrician.

You're on the right track, Greg. If both windows are quiet, it's likely the circuit doesn't have power. Power is from a 10g red lead attached to the buss on the horn relay. As you mentioned, this goes to a 30a fuse mounted on the engine side of the bulkhead.

With the ignition on and using a volt meter, check for voltage at the buss, then the input side of the fuse, then the output side of the fuse. Good chance the problem is a poor connection or bad fuse. Make sure all connections are clean and tight. A bad fuse may indicate a short or a motor drawing too much power, so be watchful for other problems if it's the fuse.
