Re: 1965 396 lower radiator seal
Although the A.I.M. shows the seal, many/most L-78 cars never had one, mine doesn't. https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthre...ht=shroud+seal- Top

Re: 1965 396 lower radiator seal
Gary,
Do you know the complete history of your car? With the exception of Edward on the other thread I linked above, who admits to adding his, you are the only one who states your car has one. Cars built before and after yours never had one including many well documented, original cars. Is it possible yours was added because the A.I.M stated it should have one or maybe a deduction in previous judging?
I read a previous post of yours and it sounds like it was added after the it left the factory. " The mechanic that was doing my work at the time somehow got extra room by playing with the shroud. I never had a problem with it once installed."- Top

Re: 1965 396 lower radiator seal
Hi Jim,
It was on the car when I bought it in 2010.
It was Judged TF at the Waco Regional in 1996. I have the judging sheets and it was not mentioned.
There is no mention of seals for the L78 in the latest JG 6th Edition page 203.
It has the long top seal as well.

Hi Jim,
Which post of mine are you referring to here?
