1967 Back up light switch heat shield

Hello
Does anybody know if the 4speed Back up light Switch heat shield GM# 3706355 on a 1967 Corvette is intalled on cars with side exhaust ?
Or is this heat shield installed only on cars with rear Exit exhaust Systems ?

Restoring my 67 Coupe 427 and try to do it as exact as possible.

It was not a heat shield but a stone or debris shield. So ALL four speed cars got them on ALL GM cars
