Trying to figure out how to mount the radio transformer thingy

    Guys,

I'm trying to figure out how to mount the radio transformer (not sure that's the right name for it) for my 69 non-AC coupe. I know it goes on the firewall passenger's side but the holes in the firewall don't line up to allow two screws to mount this thing. Not sure if it was typically held by one or two screws. I'm concerned about going with one screw and then have it rattle under the dash but I don't want to start drilling more holes in the firewall. Can anyone help on this? Please see the attached pics.

    Mike

Mike It does mount on pass side, could the installation on firewall be blocking the holes?

      Mike,
Try moving it over to the right more to this location. This photo is from a 73 showing where it is mounted. I would think it would mount in/near the same place on a 69.
      Hope this helps.

Be careful to make sure that the transistor contacts don't touch the frame of the car and short out. If if shorts, then a fusible link or something in the radio shorts out. This if from experience. Stephen H. "Bunky" Byrd
