catalog guys, I ordered the AERO RIVET-II Tool. The tool is very nicely made, and if you're a machined metal geek like I am, it's actually close to a work of art. Aside from looking good, the tool works awesome. In about 20 minutes I had two factory correct, perfectly symmetrical rivets set in the channel. It was super easy to use, and I didn't even practice. The first rivet I set came out perfect. It's funny what we go through, for something no one is ever going to see, but we all know that "it has to be done right, or not at all". I highly recommend this tool. It is a "must have" for the vent window channel rivets, and it is also specified for ventilation flapper rivets also. I have other cars aside for the Stingray, and this tool is applicable to them also.
I am not affiliated with Man Machine Interface, Inc., I am just a happy, satisfied user of their tool, and I wanted to pass along this feedback to anyone struggling with setting rivets. See their add in The Driveline. Feel free to reply to this thread if you would like info on my installation.
Regards,
John
