Question for Joe or anybody else that might know. Here Goes:

We know the 65 Knock Off Cones where polished and the 66 Cones where brushed satin. Is it possible that the
very very early(Sept.) 66's that got the option of Knock-Offs came with polished cones? Thanks In Advance-Larry

While I have no direct knowledge on this, I'd say it's VERY possible that early 1966 Corvettes with P-48 wheels received the 1965 style wheels. The change from the 1965 wheels, GM #3868768, to the 1966 wheels, GM #3877236 is shown with a revision date of 11/18/65 in the 1966 AIM. I highly doubt that the PRODUCTION change occurred prior to that time.
