    Bumpers 69 c3

Guys, there a whole on the rears side my 69 corvette where the bolt goes through to tighten the bumpers on the rear qtr above the marker lights. Is there or should there be a grommet with a metal sleeve so that the bolt passes through and provide a cushion when tightening. If so where does one get one or find one?

    Thanks

Doesn't the AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual) show this detail?

The rubber grommet and tube started to show up in 1972 production.

The bushings were used from late 1972 thru 1973. They were discontinued without supersession more than 35 years ago and I don't know of any source for them.

I found them when I needed them on my 73 at Wilcox. Their item number is 27358. They are just the rubber grommet no metal tubes.
