    C2 oil canister parts kit

I am looking for a replacement parts kit for my original C2 oil canister. I see a number of sources that include gaskets and the bypass pass valve kit. I would like to also purchase the canister spring, cone and copper washer. Any suggestions?
    Thank you

It's been some years now since I purchased the kit but I think I got it from Long Island Corvette and I believe it included the spring and copper washer along with a pre cut piece of pipe to use in the installation of the spring at the proper location.

Thanks Bob and Jack for a source for the kit. I will check with LIC on Monday and see what is included in the kit.

I hope to find a new spring and cup with the kit. I will first check with LIC on Monday and see what they offer in there kit and go from there.
            Thanks

Sorry, I just noticed the add was from LIC. I need to look a bit further before a purchase.

              Thanks

I suspect the only way you will replacement cup and spring is to purchase a used canister.

                  Hi Don
I have the old parts for the filter. I had hoped I might find new components, at least the spring.

Silkscreen restorer: Anyone check with Richard Fortier? He restores air cleaner lid silk screens.

I just purchased a 66 427/390 and want to change the oil and filter. I searched and found CorvetteMods offering a PF141 oil filter canister with decal for $104.99. Not sure if this is complete with all necessary parts or if that's even a good price to pay.

That is a reproduction setup. I've never used one of the reproductions so I can't really comment on quality. I have read that the walls of the canister are thinner than originals.

The reproduction can also be purchased by the more common corvette vendors like Paragon for a little less ($98). Paragon also sells restored originals for $160. I did purchase one of the restored originals from Paragon and was happy with it.

If your 66 currently has a spin-on filter, you will also need to purchase an oil filter bypass adapter (picture attached). You will need to remove the spin-on adapter and replace it with this assembly.
