Re: looking for holley carb restorer
I used Jerry Macneish at Camaro Hi-performance for myou 1972 LT-1. Excellent work and a beautiful carburetor.

For you, Sir! Before and after, in that order, should there be any doubt. Prompt, no surprises, reasonable; couldn't ask for more.- Top

Re: looking for holley carb restorer
I think they're correct for a 1969 L-46 or 1970 L-46 or LT-1. For those years the aluminum valve covers were "as cast" and not polished as they were for later. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: looking for holley carb restorer
Bob,
I'll go out on a limb here and trust memory but I vaguely recall that Macneish uses a process where he electronically deposits aluminum on the valve cover after cleaning it. Or am I truly "Lost in Space" on this?

Re: looking for holley carb restorer
If Macneish is doing a aluminum coating that sounds really "right" I sent a pair out to another "restorer" and got them returned with what looked like they had been hit with a rattle can of silver paint- I will use Macneish THANKS, Bob- Top
