I used Jerry Macneish at Camaro Hi-performance for myou 1972 LT-1. Excellent work and a beautiful carburetor.

Great I had the same question. wanted to find a rebuilder/restorer who does not use epoxy on the bowls.

Highest marks for Jerry MacNeish. He did rocker covers for me. A very interesting man.

Would you happen to have before & after photos of your rocker covers. Just curious.

For you, Sir! Before and after, in that order, should there be any doubt. Prompt, no surprises, reasonable; couldn't ask for more.

Is the finish like a paint or some sort of plating ? I thought the whole idea was to restore them to a "virgin" metal as original

                    Bob------

I think they're correct for a 1969 L-46 or 1970 L-46 or LT-1. For those years the aluminum valve covers were "as cast" and not polished as they were for later.

                      Bob,
I'll go out on a limb here and trust memory but I vaguely recall that Macneish uses a process where he electronically deposits aluminum on the valve cover after cleaning it. Or am I truly "Lost in Space" on this?

If Macneish is doing a aluminum coating that sounds really "right" I sent a pair out to another "restorer" and got them returned with what looked like they had been hit with a rattle can of silver paint- I will use Macneish THANKS, Bob

Bob, check with MacNeish ON THE PROCESS because I wouldn't trust my memory on his process farther than I can throw myself. LOL.

I also recommend Phil Cancilla in NJ. He has done three carbs for me and they turneed out beautiful and worked fine. Also, he actually can be reached by phone if you have questions.
