1965 engine casting & pad dates

Hello Gents;

My 65' L76 has a confirmed final assembly date of November 13th, 1964 (vin 2124). My question is regarding the engine dates. The casting date on the block is November 5th.....and the assembly date on the front pad is November 6th. Is this possible ? Seems tight to me. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Yes it is very possible. There have even been times when the casting date and assembly date were the same day. It didn't happen often but did happen.

ALSO, October was a STRIKE month. No Corvettes were made between Sept 30-Nov 3, 1964. So there was a lot of catching up going on at all plant.
