1969 tri-power a/c solenoid bracket needed.

Anyone know where I can get my hands on the idle solenoid equipment for an L68 car as shown in AIM C60 sh C6? Need everything; the bracket assy 3940916, clamp 3940918, throttle lever extension 3940922, return spring bracket 3939750, and solenoid 1114418 or 1114421 (or functional equivalent that will fit bracket). I'm aware that the bracket is one of those very hard to find parts. I found a few old threads on other forums saying someone was reproducing, but have been unable to track that down. Anyone know who repros these? Barring that, anyone know how to mount a solenoid on a tripower without interfering with the linkage or fuel lines? Any pix or info from someone who has done that would be most welcome.

Think I can answer my own question, been researching. Repro bracket assembly is made by Kevin Cavanaugh in NH. Kevin has apparently recovered his tooling costs and is now selling his remaining brackets on ebay for $500. Ebay item #192819012781. Looks right when compared to photos I have of a known original. So, I ordered one. The return spring bracket is available from Paragon. Found an NOS 4421 solenoid also on ebay.

Think I can answer my own question, been researching. Repro bracket assembly is made by Kevin Cavanaugh in NH. Kevin has apparently recovered his tooling costs and is now selling his remaining brackets on ebay for $500. Ebay item #192819012781. Looks right when compared to photos I have of a known original. So, I ordered one. The return spring bracket is available from Paragon. Found an NOS 4421 solenoid also on ebay.

The GM #3940916 and 3940918 are extremely difficult to find in NOS or, even, good used condition. They were used only for 1968-69 Corvettes with L-68 and C-60 and no other application. The GM #3940916, 3904918, and 3904922 were discontinued without supersession in 1976. In the 43 years since, the supply has pretty well dried up. I don't expect that GM Service Parts ever had many of these in stock for SERVICE purposes. The GM #3939750 was discontinued in June, 1971 and replaced by GM #3960647, with the latter discontinued without supersession in October, 1978.

Were it not for the guy that "stepped up to the plate" to reproduce parts, these parts would be near-impossible to find. Considering the fact these are not wear parts and the infinitesimally small market, I'm kind of amazed that anyone decided to reproduce them.

I looked at reproducing these brackets about 25 years ago. Tooling costs were in excess of $10,000. I did not think that I could sell enough of them to recover my initial investment, let alone a profit.
