    67 Rear Differential Yokes Deflectors

On the rear differential yokes what are the deflectors/dust shields finished? Is it also the same for the pinion yoke deflector/dust shield. Thanks

Like virtually all C2 half-shaft/drive-shaft/rear differential parts, I'm just guessing they are natural; unplated/unpainted.

You guessed correct. The shields were natural, unfinished steel. The shields were once available in SERVICE from GM as a separate part under GM #3819195. They were discontinued several years ago.

The original tube section was natural, extruded steel tube. It's a very difficult finish to re-create. The yoke ends were natural, as-forged finish. This is very similar to natural cast iron." And then some got the shot-peened finish. Agree with all those comments I'm just over sensitive about the black stuff.
