Pop importance

Having the first owner POP with all the data punched in , is certainly great provenance. What importance, if any, would a second owner POP have, being it lacks any car option details. Just the vin.

I have written to every past owner of my 67 coupe. though this was 30 years ago. 4 of them wrote back to me with 2 sending pictures from 69 to 81. I had another owner send me a small file of repair tickets. All of this to me is very interesting. I would try to find the person on the tag and write to them asking about their time with the car.

It does show the engine option. When it comes with highly valueable rare high horsepower cars it will be added proof that the came from the factory with a high horsepower engine originally

2nd owner POP doesn't have any of the coding the first owner POP has, other than the vin, which I guess is significant being it ID's a particular vehicle.

Sorry, I read it and thought that you were refering to the original proteco plate
