    66 Hardtop Deck Lid Protector

I recently purchased a hard top deck lid protector for my 66. I've been using the lid protector for the soft top and it fits perfectly. The hard top version does not seem to fit the same. I assume (very dangerous) that the hard top version is meant to goes around the bolt down holes in the deck lid and end at each door opening. If that is correct the protective strip is too short. Any advise? Thanks

    Dan,

I have these protectors for both my 61 and 65 hard tops. They do end a bit short of the door openings. I cut a small piece of thin felt and place it in the area of the void before mounting the top. Seems to work.
