Re: Trademark logo on Packard spark plug wires for C2
Dick,
Thanks for the lead. Any idea of to follow-up?
I just found some Packard wires on the Lectric Limited website with a 30 deg angle boot on the spark plug end and those wires have an obvious lightning bolt symbol. They have a '64 date code and I don't know if they are for Corvette or not. The logo on their Corvette wires with a '72 date code is an oval with some sort of 3 legged icon inside, but not obviously a lightning bolt.

Re: Trademark logo on Packard spark plug wires for C2
Rich,
Are the wires in those photos original GM wires? Or LL repro wires?
The logo in photo #3 is more blog than anything recognizable. It's also interesting how vertically smeared the ink stamping is, with lots of ghosting.
It appears that the stamped text changed during the C2 years, since what is shown in the photos does not correspond with the description in the '66 TIM&JG,

Gary, He said they're original in excellent condition, not repros.

Rich,
That's great photo documentation of original wires. I assume the blob logo is duplicated by Lectric Limited.
The wire with the "4 - Q - 65" date code must be for an early MY '66. It's interesting that the text in the photo is not consistent with the text given in the latest edition of the 66 TIM&JG.
