Has anyone removed the 63 grill with the bumpers in place? I drive the car and would like to clean up that area. Service manual says it can be done. The screws will not be a problem and I plan to protect areas that could be scratched. Any advice from experience appreciated. Thank you.

Be super careful of the grill fiberglass mounting tabs - they are notorious for cracking and/or breaking off easily..- Top

Re: Remove 63 Grill
Thanks Frank, hood method is great for the headlight motors. The service manual method is surprisingly easy. Slide bottom forward to clear body, gives top 3 grill brackets room to swing behind the fragile body tabs, and the grille just slides out under the bumper.- Top
