Re: 1970 convertible build date versus hardtop glass date
Pretty tough (impossible) for that to be the factory-installed hardtop. Lag time on the rear windows is such that a May 1970 back window could have very easily come on a hardtop-equipped 71. Known-original cars/tops: March 70 car, November 69 top. February 71 car, March 70 top. March 71 car, November 70 top.- Top

Scott - do you have build sheet for car showing it to be a two-top car? Suspect not, and previous owner bought hardtop after the fact because they liked to have a hardtop. Bottom line glass would be dated prior to build date of the car.Rick Aleshire

just thinking out loud here - if you do NOT have build sheet showing car is a two-top car, personally I would have the car judged as a convertible only - but I would do my homework with NTLRick Aleshire
