It's a lot of money and work to add the side exhaust. And, in judging, if determined it was added it's a hefty points deduction.
Just be aware that there is more than one "cost" to it.

In addition, the rear fenders are different on a factory side exhaust car. They do not have the "half moon" cutout in the back, where the under-car exhaust exits..

So, if you're trying to "clone" a factory installation, keep that in mind too.

And, the judges know to look there for repairs to see if it has been filled in.
One more part of the expense of changing to side exhaust.
