Could someone please supply me with the Axalta paint codes for Beige, Silver indents and Arctic blue on a 1956 Corvette? Thanks! Mark

I believe that Axalta took over Dupont. So, I assume that the codes would be the same?

Still no speakee Axalta.... I'll give you what I have and the source...my interpretation is that your target is Arctic Blue, Silver indents and Beige interior? From a DuPont document dated November 29, 1955 (also says '56 production will start "on or about January 3"), Arctic Blue is DUCO Stock #2413, DUCO Code #202-5845;a SUPPLEMENT to that letter dtd 12/20/55 ADDS Silver Metallic as an indent color on combinations 704 & 718 and it is DUCO Stock #2080;the 11/29/55 MISSTATES THE CODE FOR BEIGE INTERIOR - it is corrected on 12/14/55 and stated as DUCO Stock # 1726 and Code 246-57602.
The above probably amounts to a list of ingredients that you can no longer get.....Good Luck.

Gentlemen: I appreciate your help! My first painter did not do an adequate job and hosed up some of the paint. So, I am off to a second painter. I am sure that some of you have experienced that. Thanks again! Mark

Silver coves for 56-7 was a "Corvette Silver" 2 year paint only. AFAIK there was never a cross or update for Corvette Silver. Everyone was using Inca Silver for coves. Tom Ames about five years ago came up with the updated blend for the 56-7 Corvette Silver that was used for the coves. Tom Ames can be emailed from the Members List.

An April 22, 1957 DuPont Refinish Sales bulletin to "DU PONT REFINISH JOBBERS" recites the carryover paint codes to 1957 from the 1956 model and included in that listing is DUCO Formula File No. 2080 for "Silver Metallic" for use in the "insert" in combinations 704 & 718.
It would appear that as of April 1957, the "Battle of Inca Silver" had not yet been fought.
