Here are some pics of the IL Chapter meet held yesterday. I want to thank Gary Bosselman, Jim Anderson and the rest of the guys that worked to put the show on. It was a lot of fun.

Re: IL Chapter meet at Meadowdale raceway
Thank you Steve for bringing your car, and for the chance to judge it.
This is a fun event honoring the past historic race track that is on the National Register of Historic Places. The third (I think) year for an ILNCRS mini-meet here. For ILNCRS it is a chance to show other Corvette owners what we do. The entire show is to benefit MIRPA that supports the historic race track
Meadowdale International Raceway roared to life Saturday, as classic Corvettes, muscle cars and vintage cars lined up on what remains of the original track. The showing helped draw area residents t…

At the far right is a Concours winner from our earlier Chapter meet. Sorry it isn't a better picture of a stunning Grand Sport recreation, but I was taken with the 1968 racer. There were some really interesting Corvettes among the 90 or so that showed up.Terry- Top

Re: IL Chapter meet at Meadowdale raceway
Seriously, We all know it has to have a Corvette VIN to be judged. That Gullwing was pretty spectacular. There was a Ferrari next to it, but I don't know a thing about prancing houses -- except they are pretty nice looking cars.
I wouldn't want to take on judging all those Corvettes, and there were a handful more that I don't have pictures of. I had a hard enough time with the two chrome bumper C3s that were there. Brian Pearce did a a rubber bumper C3 and a C4. We had 4 1963s, There were two or three other Corvettes we judged. One of the Chapter Officials will have to give you the exact count. I was too busy with my little piece of the meet.Terry- Top

Re: IL Chapter meet at Meadowdale raceway
Meadowdale International Raceway Preservation Association (MiRPA) invites Illinois Chapter NCRS to use "Corvette Corner" for our Chapter Meet. The Show is open to all cars, but Corvette's have seemed to overtake the show the last few years. We counted close to 85 or 90-Corvettes on Corvette Corner. Total show attendance was over 300-cars this year. Some spectacular vintage cars you'll probably never see again.
Saturday, we had 8-cars being Flight Judged, 1-Concours, 4- Bowtie Display's and 1-Sportman. We had Judges come from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin to help out. This is what makes a meet successful, help from other Chapters. And great cars like Steve Bramati's 69 L-88, 4-63's, a gorgeous 65 Coupe, a very nice 71 coupe and an almost perfect 93. We had a 68, 2-72's and a 80 Bowtie display.
But... the "After Party" at Jim Anderson's car condo is always worth going to. Great BBQ, hospitality and people.
Thanks to everybody who helped out and attended.

Re: IL Chapter meet at Meadowdale raceway
Great event! Too bad I couldnt get my friend to bring his 67 435 coupe but he lives in Ca. His car was sold new at Doane Chevy and the original owner of the car was the Track doctor for Meadowdale Raceway. The car is a National Top flight car. Has some good history.- Top
