1975 shock labels what is correct?

I have a 75 Convertible L-82 with FE7 Gymkhana suspension what is the correct shock and label ?

Judging guide says PF rear AC front label
ZIP EN EP
Pacifica something else


How about a bit of help ?

Gymkhana from 75-78 called out GM# 4984577 (front) and 4984578 (rear) shocks. Labels I've seen for those shocks were CK (front) and CE (rear). Buildsheets typically call out the broadcast codes and why the labels were used in the first place. However, 76 was the first year we begin to see the codes printed on the buildsheet and we see the CK, CE codes called out.

Thanks, there is a CK on the build sheet and next to that AX and HB on the other side. I will pull my Build sheet book out this evening when I have more time and see what space on the build sheet calls out the shocks will let you know

If you're referring to the boxes, its 17 and 18. What's your VIN?

Not really!

vin 420824 build 3/31/75

• box 35 is CK = doesn't the caption read V-belt groove?
• 15/HY HY 16/AJ = springs front and rear
• 17/blank 18/RC = shocks
• 19/522521 21/596 = strg knuckle and stab bar (FE7)

It appears that the codes/blanks shown for 17 and 18 is typical for buildsheets in 1975. Do you have the part numbers stamped into the shocks? Photos? Can you post or send me a scan of your buildsheet? hunt4cleanair@earthlink.net

Unfortunately the original owner ( I bought from him) tossed the original shocks and installed KONIs so S O L

I stand corrected...CK is correct for the front but rears were CL.

Here is what I read from the shocks on my '75 convert L-82/M-21 with FE-7, vin 19659:

Front shock: part number stamped: 4984666, date 03475 (2/3/1975) sticker: HN

Rear shock: Part number stamped: 4984803, date 01675 (1/16/1975) sticker: unreadable

Could the front shock label be HY? I have buildsheets with FE7 and they show HY front and AJ rears.
