I have a 1969 convertible that has had the engine balanced blue-printed mounted in the completed chassis. I will be running the engine shortly to check for any issued before dropping the body. To run the engine I will be installing the radiator support, radiator, shrouds and fan. After doing all this, I plan to remove the fan and drop the body leaving the radiator support, radiator and shrouds attached to the frame. My question, is this even possible and would somebody that has done this please comment? I have not seen this discussed in the Forum? I have seen several Threads about attaching the radiator support and radiator to the body before assemble. But I am not going to do this. If this is not possible or a bad idea, I will just install radiator and support after the body drop. Any Comments would be appreciated. I have attached a picture of the car before being separated to show how I intend to lower the body back on to the chassis. When separating the body, I had 6 helpers. One on each 2 inch tie down strap and one on each end. Thanks Again
