Re: C2 ('66) fuel line clamp photo needed
My only guess is the GM #140571 clip is slightly larger, or smaller, to accommodate the sleeve on the fuel line.
Guessing it would be smaller than the other clip that just clamp the hose only.
I can see no other reason this clip would be assigned a different part numbers.
Note; Some of which are on the steel line only some on the line with the anti-rattle line and another the hose only.
With no other responses I will post what the clip looked like in 63.
Although I didn't specifically identify which clip this was.
As you can see one of the clips has an oblong hole in the lower portion.
I believe this would allow the same clamp to be installed in the various positions/diameters.
This would be invisible installed.
I am unsure if the clamp pictured (in the bottom pic.) clamp is one I had re-plated or a reproduction.
I do remember thinking the replacements were very good, unlike many reproductions.
The 63 used three different part numbers which may be the same as the 66.
GM #140571 (line with sleeve)
GM #140569 (clamps steel fuel line only)
GM #3757102 (clamps hose only, in the rear by the tank discharge)
Sorry I do not have any pictures of the screw.
Hope this helps.- Top
